Paul Schumacher
We’ve been living in Tetonia since July 2023 when we completed our home building and moved from our previous life in Winnemucca, Nevada. A long career as a mining engineer came to an end with our new life in retirement.
I grew up in the southern Wisconsin village, Monona, a suburb of Madison. I met my future wife Sally at the at the University of Wisconsin when we were both new students. Our married life together started 48 years ago. A career in mining led to frequent life changes and moves to projects and operations. The half dozen states we have lived in helped us to decide on Idaho for this stage in our lives.
My Wife Sally and I have four wonderful children and six grandchildren who all love to visit our beautiful area.
When we first attended Sunday worship service at CIT we felt the presence of the Spirit at work in the congregation and pastor. The people we’ve met and now call our friends made our decision to join the church very easy. The “Service Sundays” are a great demonstration of the work God directs us towards. The CIT Mission Statement confirms our beliefs.
Early on I was asked to serve the church with Sunday worship set-up which I look forward to do alongside the other volunteers.
Small group has deepened our spiritual growth through fellowship and Bible based studies and discussions. Now as a Deacon, I look forward to serving others in our church and community.
